It may not be as prevalent on the news, but water quality is something America lags far behind in terms of safety, sustainability, and treatment facilities to other first-world countries.
We all heard of the horror stories in
Flint,Michigan where the
Nestle corporation extracts the natural supply of water leaving residents with lead-ridden water for
$200 a year at the cost of the health and safety of thousands of residents.
Cases like these are not uncommon.
The city where I grew up in was no different.
To line their pockets, greedy corporations decimated our water supply and contaminated our ground water all to 'save a buck'.
They leached toxic
Chromium-6 into our water and when the health issues began to surface, they quietly 'settled' every case to make it go away.
Water is something every human being needs.
It is a human right.
And, in the effort to save what is the equivalent of 'pennies' for these multi-billion dollar corporations, they use their 'hush hush' legal team to silence all the claims of people getting sick, cancer, infertility and a myriad of other major health issues.
THIS MAKES ME SICK!
All in the name of greed, thousands of people have died and faced life-decimating illnesses from exposure to toxic chemicals in their drinking water.
Toxins such as:
- Lead
- Mercury
- Chlorine
- Fluoride
- Petrochemicals
- Arsenic
